Job Description: Our Outreach, Audience Development & Partnerships Intern will develop, implement and evaluate strategies to increase the cinema's reach in the community though a variety of engagement strategies, including forging new partnerships, and recommending new programming.
Funder Requirements: University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study. Relevant fields of study include but are not limited to: Media/Film Studies, Community Development, Arts Management, Event Planning.
Salary: $35,000 based on 37.5 hours per week. One year contract. Work hours include evenings and weekends.
About Us: Sudbury Indie Cinema is a not-for-profit co-op established in 2014. We bring the best in independent cinema to Northern Ontario audiences on a year-round basis. We are committed to bringing lesser-heard voices and perspectives to the big screen. We will soon be housed in our own location- a 180 seat fully digital cinema, offerring regular, daily film programming for the first time. The successful candidate will be coming in on the ground level as we establish Sudbury’s first rep house cinema and expand our reach as Northern Ontario’s first not-for-profit cinema dedicated to independent film.
