The Foodshed Project, a Sudbury-based non-profit, is excited to announce a screening of Gather, an award-winning documentary and an intimate portrait of the growing movement amongst Indigenous Peoples to reclaim spiritual, political and cultural identities through food sovereignty. The film follows the work of Indigenous chefs, young food scientists, and environmental stewards from several nations on Turtle Island (North America.) It offers a powerful and hopeful look at community- led food initiatives - an inspiring complement to the work we strive to support locally.Inspired by Gather, proceeds from this screening will strengthen food sovereignty initiativesthat Foodshed will support in 2026 — Indigenous-led community food initiatives, grassrootscommunity gardening programs that connect people to land, culture, and food, and nationalfarmer & environmental networks.
